About Us

Pictures of school children from Sunderland with shirts

Give4Strips was formed in April 2005 by a group of Sunderland AFC supporters with the idea of providing underprivileged children across Africa with brand new football equipment from the UK.

As of June 2006 we have provided over 40 junior football teams in Tanzania, Malawi and Kenya with new premiership replica strips and plans are in place to deliver up to 1,000 more before the end of the year. Give4Strips has teamed up with two voluntary organisations in Kenya and Tanzania; Loveshack (Love for Sick Homeless and Abandoned Children) and EMIMA who educate children about HIV/AIDS awareness through sport.

All donations go to buy kits at the best prices we can; typically this means a kits that maybe the previous years kits. For example the 15 shirts that were donated to via The Loveshack cost £45. We are actively working with wholesalers and suppliers to ensure that we get value for money for every penny donated.

We are constantly on the look out for sponsors, partners, future projects and volunteers and if you feel you could help in any way we would love to hear from you.
